Howitt Park is a large accessible area located behind the Alpine Visitor Information Centre and incorporates the Selby Sound Shell, the car park and Centenary Park. Howitt Park offers an electric BBQ, with shelter, picnic tables, public toilets and a grassy lined bank which offers a lovely place to relax next to the river where visitors can access the water or enjoy the tranquillity. The Bright Make It, Bake It, Grow It markets are held throughout Howitt Park on the third Saturday of every month. The Sibley Sound Shell is located within the park and is a popular location for music and special events. The large carpark which is used for the markets and includes accessible restroom facilities, is also part of the useable space that is Howitt Park. Centenary Park includes the Splash Park and Adventure Playground, with ample parking and is walking distance from many local food outlets and accommodation venues.
